StudioPMG is a digital agency based in Orange County, CA. We currently seek an Interactive Art Director to join our creative team. Candidates must have 5 years of interactive design and art direction experience. We are looking for that exceptional individual that has a gift for original thought, concept, passion for interactive media and design, and possesses an extensive exposure to design styles as well as considers themselves a master with the tools that are involved with developing interactive mediums. You must have excellent communication skills, be an outstanding team player with a positive attitude, and must have a strong work ethic. We are seeking an individual that is extremely motivated to work on cutting-edge creative, willing to be challenged way beyond the normal realm of interactive, and enjoys working with a great group of people. We build our team with people who are willing to work hard and grow with us.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing creative teams.
• Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (min. CS4).
•  Up-to-date with current design trends, styles, specifically in the interactive media space.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work with senior creative’s to create a successful campaign.
• Ability to respond to performance metrics that achieve client objectives, including the ability to be very meticulous with design detail and quality.
• Must be team oriented, positive, and have a professional attitude.
• The ideal candidate will be someone who completely scoffs at using tables or templates, and understands the separation of content from design.
• Productive knowledge of programming elements such as HTML, XML, CSS, Flash.
• Must have a clean, attractive, engaging, yet edgy design style. This style must possess an out-of-the-box thought and feel.
• Competent and confident with typography.

Desired Skills:

• A natural talent for interaction and motion design.
• Working knowledge of 3D tools, application interface design (iPhone/iPad), sound design, and video editing is a plus.
• Able to wire frame and develop functional specs.
• Have a strong understanding, background, and/or education for interactive branding, mobile media design, micro site design, rich-media, and social media outlets.
• Be able to direct motion graphics and animated design elements.

This is a fulltime position based in Irvine, CA.
